The possibility of a fire breaking out in dust collectors and ducting systems is a real concern for those in the timber and joinery industries. Airtight are proud to present our simple, economical fire protection option in the form of the in-line Spark Trap.
Airtight install the in-line Spark Trap into your ducting as part of a dust collection system, decreasing the number of sparks that could possibly reach the dust collector. This is done by disrupting the laminar airflow, which causes the sparks to cool and finally extinguish before they enter the dust collector. If sparks enter the dust collector, a fire or explosion could be caused.
Airtight can install the Spark Trap into any existing or new ducting system, which can also easily be removed for cleaning.
