The RFA digester fan is a special fan for the combined shredding and conveying of remnants left when trimming edges off paper, plastic coated paper, cardboard, corrugated cardboard and similar materials.
The shredding of edge strips allows these to be transported by pneumatic conveyor systems of considerable length.
The RFA digester is capable of transporting broken remnants over shorter distances to a separator.
For longer transport distances or for separators with large pressure drops the shredder fan can be combined with another conveyor fan.
It is usual to place a number of strip fans at the various cutting machines and connect them to a pneumatic conveyor system.
